*Dr. David Anders grew up Presbyterian.

He met his wife, Jill, at Tulane University. She grew up “nominally Catholic, but failed to keep up the practice of her faith after Confirmation.”

Dr. Anders’ goal was to get a seminary education and complete a Ph.D. (which he received from the University of Iowa in 2002).

Largely a result of his studies, Dr. Anders entered the Catholic Church in November of 2003.

Dr. Anders began working in Catholic media in 2010. Since 2014, he has hosted his show on EWTN. His show is for “non-Catholics about the Catholic faith.”

Dr. Anders is also the Chair of the Department of Evangelization and Faith Formation for the Catholic Diocese of Birmingham in Alabama. Learn more here.
