Siouxland Catholic Radio, 88.1 FM, and Holy Cross Catholic Parish – Sioux City hosted Father Carlos Martins and the Treasures of the Church on Sunday, June 26 at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross School and Holy Cross Parish - Blessed Sacrament Church, 3012 Jackson Street, Sioux City, Iowa.

Renowned expert, Father Carlos Martins, presented a teaching and exposition of an extraordinary Vatican collection of Sacred Relics.

Over 150 relics (see attached)  were present, some as old as 2,000 years.  Among the treasures will be relics of the Twelves Apostles, St. Joseph, St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Faustina Kowalska, Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney, and Blessed Carlo Acutis.  There will also be a portion of the Veil of Our Lady and one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross.

Attendees examined and venerated each relic. (See also place cards for various relics.)

Throughout history, many healings have occurred in the presence of relics, and many have happened through this ministry.
