Saturday, May 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon, 

at Siouxland Catholic Radio,

701 West 5th Street, Sioux City, Iowa 51103.

Due to Saturday's forecast, the Ministries Fair

will be held in the basement of St. Boniface Church.

Please enter through the church's basement door which is located under the metal stairwell on the north side of the church. Volunteers and staff will greet you! 

The other doors to the church will be locked. 

If the skies are overcast, some activities and vendors will be held and located in the Church's parking lot.

 

Connect, network, and foster relationships with 31 Siouxland organizations and ministries.

Kids' activities include  and"Art with Addie" and a "Cookie Stomp" (cake walk).

 

Tune in to 88.1 FM for live remotes with Joanne Fox.

 

Beginning at 10 a.m., the Sioux City Public Museum will hold a walking tour here at the historic St. Boniface Church!

In case of rain, the presentations will be held in the St. Boniface Sanctuary.

Experience Malli's On Wheels, an authentic Mexican food truck, in the Church's parking lot starting at 10 a.m.!

Any group selling or giving away food must comply with the Iowa Department of Inspection and Appeals Rules.

Cottage Foods: (Please click on this text for full details. Here is a brief overview of the law.)

Although there are some exceptions, beginning July 1, 2022, most foods that do not need to be kept hot or cold for safety may be sold directly to the consumer without a license, provided they meet certain labeling requirements. 

 

“Cottage foods” are foods that are prepared in a residence that is not subject to licensing or inspection. As defined by the new legislation, "cottage foods” must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  1. The food is prepared in a private residence; 

  2. The food does not require temperature control to ensure safety;

  3. The food is sold directly from the producer to the consumer; and

  4. The food is properly labeled.

Food Safety Procedures: The attached "Temporary Food Stand Document" outlines all the below criteria which MUST be met. The criteria include:

  • Personnel,

  • Handwashing,

  • Food prep and handling, 

  • Temperatures,

  • ​equipment and utensils,

  • Storage,

  • Ice,

  • Water supply and storage,

  • Sanitizers and wiping cloths,

  • Waste water and garbage disposal,  

  • "Stand construction,"

  • Storage of chemicals and cleaners, and

  • Controlling insects.
