The Cross - October 11, 2023

Fred and Kara take up the topic of suffering, perseverance, and taking up the crosses the Lord asks us to bear. Fred and Kara consider the words of Fr d'Elbee, "In the apostolate, the money to buy souls is suffering, accepted with love." How can we accept this suffering with love? How is God calling us to do this? They also look at the statement (confirmed by the saints), "A great cross is, very often, the prelude to a great grace."

How can we unite our suffering to Christ on the Cross? What might we gain from hardships? How does God use experiences like these to shape us?
