Serving as a "bridge" between the last episode, Bread from Heaven, and Fred and Kara's discussion on the Bread of Life discourse (John 6); this week they take up the topic of the miracle of the feeding of the 5,000. From the five loaves of bread and two fish, Jesus multiplied the available food such that the crowd that was following him could "eat their fill." Yet, twelve baskets remained left over. How is this possible? What was John trying to reveal to us about Jesus Christ? What is significant about the language the Gospel writer uses and what are the parallels that can be drawn? How does this miracle point ultimately to the Eucharist? Listen to My Lord and My God Tuesday at 3:20 p.m. on Siouxland Catholic Radio 88.1 FM!
*"Please enjoy a few unexpected background guests… We record our podcasts in the midst of the lives of our families… and the noises they make. Sometimes, being a 'family of friends and a friendship of families' means that you are going to hear them all… This was one of those times," Fred and Kara concluded.
